The Holly Brook website needs a redesign. The current website cannot be changed enough to make it fresh looking or engaging. So, the first step to a better website is to select a new “theme” on which to build the site. Below are links to church demo websites. These show some of the things that can be done on modern websites.

A quick explanation of website themes. The purpose of a website theme is to make the site appear consistent from page to page. Themes mainly control page layout and visual elements such as colors, fonts, font sizes, location of menus, etc. Themes DO NOT control website features (A.K.A. content) such as events, sermons, locations (maps), contact forms, staff pages, etc. In other words, themes provide places on a webpage to display content and themes control the how the contents appear on the pages.

Keep the above explanation in mind when looking at the websites below. Also, be aware the themes DO NOT include the great pictures and other graphical elements – those things are all content. But the themes do control how the content is displayed so take some time to think about how content looks on those websites.

Please take a minute to look at the sites. Consider how the sites are laid out and where things like menus and other contents are located. For example, the way content is combined on a single page or separated on to dedicated pages. Your feedback, both good and bad, is important!
